Daffodils & Danger by Mary Manners

Wyatt Cutler manages to break away from family-owned Cutler Nursery--and Clover Cove until his father perishes in a tragic accident. With no choice but to abandon his prestigious position at world-renowned Messer Dynamics and return to Clover Cove, Wyatt's only goal is to help his mother and brother, Reese, keep Cutler Nursery in business.

The laughter that surrounds Kami Moretto at her family's pizzeria has faded. Her mom is gone and, for her dad, depression has set in. With Pappy's Pizzeria hanging on by a thread, Kami longs for days of the past and a time when her faith carried her through every storm. Across the street, she watches Wyatt scowl as he works and wonders how he can take his family and his business for granted when hers is in such shambles.

When tragedy strikes, Wyatt realizes he must let go of the past and cling to hope for the future; he's in danger of losing his family, his business, and the only woman he's truly loved.

Mary Manners is a country girl at heart who has spent a lifetime sharing her joy of writing. She has two sons and a daughter, as well as three beautiful grandchildren. She currently lives along the sunny shores of Jacksonville Beach with her husband Tim.

A former teacher as well an intermediate school principal, Mary spent three decades teaching math and English to students from kindergarten through middle grades. While growing up in Chicago and as a student at the University of Illinois, Mary worked her way through a variety of jobs including paper girl, figure skating instructor, pizza chef, and nanny. Many of these experiences led to adventures that may be found between the pages of her stories. Mary loves long sunrise runs—she’s completed three marathons—ocean sunsets and flavored coffee.

My Review

Daffodils & Danger is book one in the Wildflowers and Wishes series. The characters are great.
Wyatt Cutler works for the family business Cutler Nursery, but his heart is in something else. He goes of to pursue his dream. His father is then in accident and is killed he is needed back home. Not what he really wants but he needs to help out his mother and brother to get things back on track then head back to the big city.  Can things go that easy? Hmm... don't think so. Then walks in Kami Morretto! With her own set of problems she just can't understand why Wyatt would ever want to leave. A another almost death sets Wyatt to thinking. He has a lot to lose he needs to be doing some real thinking before he loses everything. Even someone he loves.
