Miracles & Mischief , Stolen Miracles, Miracles & Dreams by Mary Manners

NFL running back Nate Saylor is the best in the league, a star in his own universe…until a brush with the law tarnishes his career. When his agent suggests he sign on with the Moments for Miracles Foundation, a charity organization that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses, Nate agrees with a half-hearted shrug, never expecting to be contacted. As the offseason begins, he retires to his property on the outskirts of Mill’s Landing, secluded from the press…and fans that are so quick to judge.

Shayna Grady is a single mom struggling to stay afloat financially while tending to the needs of her son, Zac, who’s been struck with childhood leukemia. A bone marrow transplant is Zac's only hope for survival, but a match has yet to be found. While they wait, Shayna plans to see that Zac’s special wish is granted…to spend a day with his hero—NFL running back Nate Saylor. Though Shayna has reservations about pairing her son with the player whose blistered more than his fair share of negative headlines, she writes a heartfelt letter to the Moments for Miracles Foundation, pleading for their help.

Shayna’s letter—and her love for her son—are a pick-six to Nate’s heart. He finds himself longing for more, but is it too late to grant Zac’s wish…and to prove to Shayna there’s more to him than newspaper headlines reveal?

My Review

Miracles & Mischief book 1 in  the Miracles at Mills Landing.
I love reading Mary's books. They are always clean spiritual books. The characters are well written.
Miracles & Mischief was a great novella about a NFL running back. Nate Saylor gets himself in a bit of trouble after a game. In order to clean up his image his agent suggest he sign up to help out Moments for Miracles Foundation.  The foundation grants wishes for kids with life threatening issues. He really doesn't want o be around kids possibly dying. He is still hurting from his pass. But he agrees too. His first assignment is for a little boy dying. All the little boy asked for was to meet the famous ball player Nate Saylor.  Was all his  mother could do was to write and ask for Nate being he was just on tv and the news in trouble. But she had to do it for her son. Can Nate prove to them there is more to him then the bad being said about him? Can he win her trust? Get your copy and find out how it all comes out.

Rebecca Gillespie is lucky to be alive following a devastating car accident that claimed her husband’s life and put her in a coma with little hope of recovery. Her heart still aches for the loss of her precious daughter given up for adoption by her wealthy, dying mother-in-law to a couple in Mills Landing. Now, fully recovered, Rebecca struggles to rebuild her life—alone. She soothes the emptiness in her heart with laughter of children who fill her local preschool, Precious Miracles.

Cole Seibert clings to his daughter, Kimmy, following the death of his wife. They’d adopted the child as an infant, and Cole never imagined he’d be left to raise her alone. When he drops by to register Kimmy at Precious Miracles, he’s confident the center is the best place for Kimmy…Until Rebecca steals his breath and casts his heart into a firestorm with her revelation--

“I think you have my daughter…”

Meeting Rebecca has made him have feelings he hasn't had and never thought he would again. She reminds him of someone her beautiful hair is so familiar. He is a lawyer can he help Rebecca find her daughter???
Loved this story sweet story.

So Jack leaves thinking things will work out but years go by no correspondence till one day 6 years later he receives a letter. A letter that he was to receive that day he left but it never mad it to him. What could be so important in this letter to make him jump on a plane and head back to Mills Landing???
