The Twelfth Child By Bette Lee Crosby

A MILLION DOLLARS IS MISSING. THE NEPHEW IS GREEDY. THE FRIEND IS A SUSPECT. ABIGAIL KNOWS THE TRUTH, BUT SHE'LL NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO TELL... In a story of trust, love and friendship, two unforgettable women find what they've been searching for all their life.
This heartwarming May-December friendship is reminiscent of Fannie Flagg's Fried Green Tomatoes.
Abigail Anne Lannigan is at the tail end of her years when she teams up with a free-spirited young woman who moves in across the street. Their unusual friendship comes under suspicion when a million dollars goes missing and a distant relative, claims embezzlement. Abigail knows the truth about the handwritten note but, unfortunately, she'll never get the chance to tell.
Told in the timeless tradition of Southern Fiction, The Twelfth Child is rich with emotion, humor and tenderness.
This Award Winning book is the recipient of the FPA President's Book Award Silver Medal and the Royal Palm Literary Award for Women's Fiction.

My Review
The Twelfth Child
By Bette Lee Crosby

The Twelfth Child book one in the Serendipity series!  I started reading this book could not put it down I kept wanting to know what was next. A wonderful story of friendship between two ladies Abigail and and a young lady lives across the street like. Neither has anyone in the world so this friendship blooms into  a friendship like a mother and daughter. But a stranger comes into the picture claiming to be a long lost nephew so he can get his hands on money. Money no  one seems to know about except one person and that person has passed away. Can Destiny prove her innocence in all Elliott is accusing her of to the court? This book is full of surprises. I loved the characters they are very well written. I hope to see more of them in future books. Looking forward to book two Previously Loved treasures!! 5 Star
