Island Hope By Kimberly Rose Johnson

Thank you for hosting me, Diana! It’s a treat to visit your blog and share about my writing career so far.
I began to write seriously back in 2006. I had self-published a book that shall forever remain nameless.  Thanks to my experience self-publishing I learned about writer’s conferences, writer’s organizations, and that there were actually books out there that taught people how to write. This was all new to me! When I first began my journey as a writer I didn’t even know how to get on the Internet. I had a lot to learn.
Fast forward six years, and I was no longer that naïve newbie. I had acquired, knowledge, a little confidence, an agent, as well as some friends in the Christian writing world. In 2012 my entry in the American Christian Fiction Writer’s Genesis contest was a semi-finalist. I was thrilled, but by agent had also submitted that manuscript to a publisher. I knew if I sold it I’d have to pull out of the contest.
Guess what? It sold to Love Inspired Heartsong Presents! That first book was A Christmas Promise, and I went on to write a four book series for them. The last book I sold to Heartsong Presents before the line closed was A Valentine for Kayla, which released last year.
I now write for Mountain Brook Ink, a new small press. I sold my Wildflower B&B Romance series to them last year. The first three books Island Hope, releases this month. Each book stands alone, but the series is best read in order beginning with Island Refuge. All of the books in this series are included in the Kindle Unlimited program and may be read for free with a K.U. membership.
released in 2015 and the final book,
To date I have ten books available for purchase. I did a collection last summer with a group of other writers. J By the end of 2016 I will have a total of thirteen published books. I have a new series contracted with Mountain Brook Ink that will begin releasing in August and another collection that releases in June.

I have been blessed and I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. It’s been a lot of hard work, but so worth it. J

Thank you Kimberly for stopping by and having a cup of tea with me. I so enjoyed our chat. I got to get to know you a lot more and all the books you have written. I have read a few and I love them. Looking forward for what is to come !

My Review
Island Hope
By Kimberly Rose Johnson

Island Hope is book four in Wildflower B&B Romance! Seems like everyone falls in love at the Wildflower. Piper has found out she has to go on complete bed rest for her pregnancy. Leaves her getting someone to manage the B&B while she is off.  She gets Derrick Trainor to look over it while on bed rest. Little love matching going on with Piper's choices when she hires Hope Michaels to do the electric in the construction of the new rooms. Hope looks pretty ruff to him with tattoos on her body. Not what he normally looks for.  Having a daughter to raise that is a teen he wants her to not think this is ok with him. Will love find these two together. Great book. Get it see what romances bloom. Loved the characters well written.

  6. Well, now of course I'll be forever curious as to what the name of that first book was. lol And since her other book sold, I'd imagine she had to pull out of the contest? So fun that she has 10 books available for reading. Thanks for the interview.
