Pearl of the Indian Ocean By Joyce Mitchell

“Pearl of the Indian Ocean”

KAYAKING, stilt fishing, trishaw, and elephant rides!
That’s the fun Lulu and her friends are about to have
When a plane whisks them off to a beautiful island, Sri Lanka.
When they arrive, a tour guide takes them to a waterfall to surprise
the little princess. Jay-Jay is thrilled to show her friends from America
her island, known as “Teardrop of India.” Will Molly get to eat on a
banana leaf? Will the little Pearl of the Indian Ocean fly to America
to surprise Lulu?

Joyce Mitchell
Being a parent herself and working with children for over ten years, Joyce's goal is to inspire and educate kids, through her 'talking animal' and 'rhyming' books. She refuses to grow up and has a lot of fun playing with kids and creating stories. She hopes her books could entertain her young readers as well as teach them important 'life lessons' in a fun and easy manner.

Some of the published credits of Joyce Mitchell include Button, Button Goes to the Doctor, Button Goes to Hollywood, Button Finds Family and Friends at the Farm, Thanks Lil Ren, Selfish Little Bob-Selfish No More, Where Are Ayden's Easter Eggs, Just Little Old Me, TooToo Goes on a Field Trip, How Strong Are You Little Wave, Count with Kenny:1-20, Telling Time with Dinosaurs, The Fishy Adventures of Gus, Toby and TooToo (4 books), Serenity's Heart, Lil Sister Tippy, A Bully at Chipmunk Academy, Snowman's Noggin & Neck Award, and Goldie and Garth 1 & 2.

My Review

What a fun story. We are taking a visit to Sri- Lanka with LuLu and friends to meet Princes Jay -Jay. Get a guided tour through Sri-Lanka. See beautiful animals and places. Get to visit and see her home. Learn about different culture. Great story with beautiful illustrations. Kids will love it. Very educational facts about Sri-Lanka. I give it a 5 star.
