Scent of Lilacs by Ann H. Gabhart

The cover of the book was very nice.  Story is from a small town in Kentucky where Jocie Brooke and her family lived. Lot of life changing events happen in the summer of 1964. Jocie’s mom runs away with Tabitha her sister an leaves her with her dad. Jocie starts getting nosey about the family so she starts digging. Sometimes it is best to leave things as they are and Jocie soon finds that out. Get the book and see what all the secrets are. Will the discoveries help the family or could they cause a much bigger problem?
