Can the summer magic of Lake Michigan bring first loves back together? Or will the secret they discover threaten everything they love?
Claire's beloved grandma wants to turn her historic home and property into a bed-and-breakfast and have Claire run it in one of Michigan's most popular tourist towns, which has always been Claire's dream.
Claire's best memories came from spending summers at her grandma's: days at Lake Michigan, bonfires at night, and through it all, the company of the boy next door, Alex Wilder. What started out as friendship deepened into a heady first love. Until Claire left for college.
Unbeknownst to Claire, Grandma has also hired Alex to do the construction work. Alex needs this job and the others it could bring if he wants to take his construction company to the next level. He never quite got over Claire, but he can keep his heart locked away long enough to do this job.
Claire has landed a big destination wedding for their grand opening. With only weeks to finish the project, the old house gives up a secret: a hidden room and a diary written by a once-famous actress. Claire's history-loving heart is thrilled, but the discovery has the potential to derail the project. Can she keep an antsy bride placated, history buffs at bay, and resist Alex's charms all while getting the B-and-B ready to open? And could the story behind the secret room put her family in danger?
The Inn at Cherry Blossom Lane is a stand alone novella. If you like Christian romance with a touch of suspense, you'll love this story of summer love reignited.

Stories of ordinary people, extraordinary circumstances. Most of us are ordinary people. We won’t be mentioned in history books. Documentary films won’t be made about our lives. A film crew won’t follow us through out our days. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t extraordinary.
Each of us has a unique purpose and reason for being on this planet, whether we know it or not, whether we can see it or not over the mounds of bills, dirty laundry, piles of dishes.
So take a break for a moment. Grab a few quiet moments and your favorite drink and read about women and men as ordinary as you. Who may or may not recognize that they are in some extraordinary circumstances.
And see what happens.
And in my very ordinary life. . . I make beauty from neglect, order from chaos. I like fixing messes!
And I get to do that a lot since I’m a mom to two and stepmom to four, navigating the teens while battling my daughter’s juvenile arthritis, exploring the delights of my son’s autism, and keeping gluten free. A California native transplanted to the Midwest, my favorite thing is discovering with my husband how much there is to love about seasons, snow, and the delight that is Michigan.
I look forward to hearing from you! Please be in touch.

My Review
I so loved this novella. Jennifer's books are so good. Her characters are always well developed. Plus such great sweet romance. I share these with my teen granddaughter. This one is great about a pass true love. Claire and her grandmother have decided to turn her home into a B&B. And have hired Alex to help them get everything up to code. But their is a old story that goes with the place and can lead them to danger. Their home is broke into and home is trashed as well as the barn they are turning into a place to have weddings or gatherings. Really putting them in a bind for time when someone is damaging things. Can they catch who it is before it is to late and Clair loses everything? You won't want to miss this great story by Jennifer Vander Klipp .
