The One Year Experiencing God's Love Devotional by Sandra Byrd

When was the last time you took a break to experience God’s love?

To experience something is to live it, to encounter it, to understand it, to explore with our hearts, minds, and souls as well as with the five physical senses and our God-given spiritual ones. Every action we do with and for God, every good day and bad day, we walk hand-in-hand with God, experiencing Him.

Experiencing God’s love takes time. Love unfurls its blossoms in our lives when we concentrate all of our senses on the small gifts we pass by every day. Time slows, and we finally get to hear God’s beautiful background hum to our lives.

The One Year Experiencing God’s Love Devotional helps you intentionally carve out those moments in your day to savor God and his love for you.

My Review

This  Devotional by Sandra Byrd's is beautiful inside and out.  A beautiful devotional that will last you the whole year. Everyday of our lives we experience time with God, could be good and also could be bad time. He is with us always through these times.  I think like the beautiful cover of this book  love for God blooms as we grow in him. There is a Devotional  for each day of the year and then followed by scripture that goes with the devotional. This book is very inspirational and Sandra is sharing with us to give us a way to spend a bit of time with God each day. We can learn from these devotionals how to be closer to the Lord.  Take sometime each day to experience God's love. Even through the hard times He is there. Wonderful Devotional.  Like to share one Devotional with you.
October 20
Social media has exploded. It has its downsides but allows us to connect with people across the world, reach out to the lonely, share ideas and interests, and even share deeper our faith. On social media, we friend or follow people, and they do (or sometimes do not) follow us back. Some have decried that this kind of friendship is not real--but it can be.  We can care for and encourage one another, enjoy discussions, and gain new insights. The flip side, of course, is that sometimes we friend people who later turn out to be toxic, or harmful to us or our faith. People worry that social media has replaced real life, but truly it imitates life, and for many is a large part of real life. It can enhance or detract, just like every other relationship. Perhaps even taught us a few lessons.   There is more  but get this awesome devotional. This topic is a big one right now. Look at it like Christ had followers and not all were good to him they degraded Him. We to will get that on social media. Best thing to do is not to have negativity on your social page. Best to erase this kind of people from your page. Keep good and positive. Be a follower of Christ use your social page as  way to bring others to Christ.  Sandra then has a verse that goes with the devotional.  With this one it was from Matthew 4:19   " Come, follow me, " Jesus said
Perfect verse for this devotional.  This would make a great gift to give at Christmas. They can start the new year off getting closer to the Lord.
