All My Beautiful Tomorrows by Murray Pura

She wanted to be Amish more than anything else.

Kirsten found herself in a unique position. She stood on the precipice of another world. She watched that world of peace and simplicity from the edge of her hectic life.

Kirsten worked at Zook’s Amish Diner in the day and she helped the Schrock family with their wheelchair-bound son Malachi each evening. In her mind, she was Amish.

The Bishop did not agree and he questioned her intentions, as well as her past. Kirsten was once engaged to a soldier who died on deployment. She came from a military family and she was currently seeing another soldier named Brandon. The Bishop could not allow her in their church.

Things become more complicated when Kirsten meets Joshua, the Amish blacksmith.

Does choosing between Brandon and Joshua mean giving up her dreams of becoming Amish? What does tomorrow hold for Kirsten?

My Review

I loved Murray's new release All My Beautiful Tomorrows. Been awhile since I have read anything by him but... this is just what I remember . Well written and well developed characters.  I think Joshua was my favorite.  More then anything in her life Kirsten wanted to become Amish. She loved the stands in life they took and the gentle quiet spirit there. She is taking care of Amish boy who is handicapped. Plus working at a Amish Diner.  Living among them she thought be so simple to get in and get baptized as a member. Wrong!!  The Bishop didn't agree with her past. And she was not about to repent of things in her families past when they fought in the military and gave their lives for our Country.  Things really don't go as she had plan and was about to give up till she met a Amish man by the name of Joshua.  What can this do for her situation. She knows she can't marry him cause he is Amish and she is English. Joshua is determined he is not going to lose her. What will he do to help her? Will he leave the Amish for her? God's will be done.   Wonderful book.
